Happy Birthday baby girl!

I can't believe that my tiny is 1! It seems literally like yesterday that I was being told that I would need a c-section and to get ready for surgery and that she would be here soon! I can't even begin to describe the feelings that were felt that day as Roger was a nervous wreck and I just wanted to get her here. Of course I only got to see her for a few seconds before they took her to the nursery and then it was hours later that I got to hold her and the feeling I got when I looked at her and held her in my arms was unlike anything I can describe! I was really scared and nervous that I wouldn't be able to love her as much as I do Macee and wondered if Macee would resent us for having another baby since she definitely was spoiled and liked being the only child but the second I laid eyes on her I had an overwhelming love for her and for Macee since I knew that they are my precious little girls and our life couldn't be any better! Preslee started out as our peacemaker, she didn't like loud voices or yelling and would always cry and let us know that she didn't appreciate it. As her first year went along she has gotten to be more and more fiesty and she has definitely learned a thing or two or three from her sister in the fit throwing deartment and has learned that she can get any one of use to give her whatever she wants! ;)She started walking at 10 1/2 months since crawling just wasn't doing her justice! I love how determined she is and how she doesn't stop until she gets what she wants! That's how Macee is too and it's a pain right now while we're raising them but I wouldn't have it any other way since we live in a cRaZy world!

Preslee has had a lot of nicknames in her short little existance, at first it was "tiny" since she was a little peanut, she moved onto "stinker" after that, "baby girl" is a favorite, "LINUS" is definitely fitting since she is always dragging a blanket around with her! She is a smart little thing, when she wakes up from a nap or in the mornings she will throw her binkie and her blanket out of the crib so that when I get her out and am not looking she can go in her room and get them! She comes out with the biggest grin on her face and the look of haha I gotcha! She is ATTACHED to her 3 B's as we call them: Binkie, Blanket, and Bottle! If she doesn't have at least one of them, most often at least 2 she throws a fit until she gets one! We're in for it since her pediatrician wants all of them gone by 18 months! Yeah Right! We're working on it but haven't been very successful so far. I guess a lot of it is my fault because I love to see her so in love with them and as long as she loves them I can still say she's my baby and won't grow up! Wishful thinking! Preslee ADORES her big sister and only recently have they started to fight a little bit. Macee is really good about playing with her but they both are very stubborn and butt heads so there's tears sometimes but for the most part they seriously LOVE each other! Macee treats her like she is her own baby and loves to help me get diapers or feed her or anything else that I need help with. Preslee loves baths! As soon as she hears the bath water running she heads straight for the bathroom and puts her leg over and tries to climb in! When it's time to get out she has a meltdown and screams and kicks and throws a fit because she wasn't done playing! She also has a "small" obsession with the toilet. She has been known to play in the water or with the flusher handle and just loves to bang on the lid! It's funny sometimes but mostly drives me crazy because I'm always having to make sure she isn't playing in toilet water! She is a really good eater and loves to eat whatever anyone else has. She always shares my cheerios with me in the morning and I love it that she wants what I have. We haven't found very many things that she doesn't like so hopefully that continues as she gets older! She loves to get clothes that are laying around the house and try and put them on her head, she walks around with a shirt or something around her head and neck and thinks she's so big because she "dressed" herself. We're in trouble if she changes clothes as many times as Macee does a day! She is saying the usual dada and mama and sometimes I think she says sisi since that's what we call Macee. She kindof says kitty and she will sign milk and more and food so we're making a little progress. She loves babies, both real and fake and always gets Macee's water baby and holds her and pats her bum. It's seriously the cutest thing. She loves real babies and loves to talk to them and smile and poke them in the eye! :) She loves the movie "Dispicable Me" and will sit and watch the whole movie with us, it's our favorite movie right now so we love to quote lines from it and she loves to dance to the music. She loves to dance to any kind of music and it's the funniest thing to see her try and dance, she bends her knees up and down and swings her arms back and forth and has a huge grin on her face the entire time. We turn on music a lot just to see her dance.

We had just a small family party for her birthday and she loved all of her new toys and clothes that she got. She wasn't too sure about digging into her cake since she was tired but she still had fun!
WE LOVE YOU PRESLEE!! Happy 1st Birthday!

Where to begin...

Since I have been a complete blog slacker for the past 2 years and I have about 2000 pictures just from this last year I decided not to try and catch up but to just start fresh from this year and move forward. We have a lot of exciting and fun things that will happen like:
Preslee started walking when she was 11 months old and she will be turning 1 on the 14th.
I will be turning the big 28.
Roger will turn 33.
Macee will be 5!!! I can't believe it's gone by so fast!
We are hoping to go on a vacation somewhere fun this year.
We will be getting grass in the backyard and the girls will be able to go out and play whenever they want to. Our neighbor is giving us a swingset so that will be awesome and we will hopefully get our fire pit in so we can roast marshmellows!
Roger will be done with bball in a couple months and I can't wait to have him home again!
I will hopefully get the house deep cleaned and organized by the end of January and will keep it that way! Fingers Crossed!
I am going to go to the Dr. and try and get my thyroid in check and figure out why I am so tired and fatigued all the time and then hopefully I will begin a good exercise and eating plan and get back into shape! Need some major encouragement on this one!

This might be a boring post but I hope it will keep encouraging me to keep up the blogging and I will post a lot more pics and keep a better journal of our lives! And I can't put up a post without a picture so here is one of my girlies!

pRoMiSe...

I know, I know, my mother and several other people have been asking when I am going to actually put a new post on here! I think about doing it everytime I look at everyone else's blog so I have made a New Years Resolution that I am going to blog at least once a week from now on! There are too many things that my girls do and say to not have them written down and of course there are too many cute pictures taken that I would love to share with all of you! So here is my promise to my girls and to any of you that even look at my blog still that I will do better and mom, if you would kindly remind me once a week to update this it would be greatly appreciated! ;)

FuNnY...

We were sitting at the dinner table finishing up tonight and Roger and I were bantering back and forth and we started getting Macee involved and I said Girls Rule and she says, "Ya Girls Rule, & Boys Slobber!" (instead of drool) We bust up laughing because she says funny things like that all the time and I need to be better about writing them down. We love you Macee! A 4th birthday post and her first day of preschool post coming soon!

Preslee Elle...

UPDATE!
We took Preslee to Primary Childrens yesterday and had the plastic surgeon look at her head. He did a cat scan on her to see all of the bones in her skull. He looked at the scan and came in and told us there ISN'T anything wrong with her skull. He said it is shaped a little bit funny but that she should grow out of it in a couple months! We are so HAPPY that everything turned out to be ok! Now we just get to enjoy our new addition and not have to worry about surgery! Thank you to everyone who prayed for us! It really means a lot!

Ok so my pictures uploaded completely backwords but you get the idea! Enjoy our newest addition!!!

A week and a half old!

Big sister!

Ready to go home!

Our first new family picture!

Proud big sister!

Look at that pouty face!

So I know you all have been patiently waiting for this post so here it is! I wanted to write down her birth story so I don't forget it so feel free to skip this part and just look at the pictures of my TINY! We went to our appointment on the 11th and my Dr. checked my and I was barely at a 1. She told me that as long as I was 39 weeks that she would induce me so I said Friday it is and she said well we could do it Thurs. so I said why not!? We got everything done that needed to be done and I got my house all clean and ready and we headed to the hospital at 4:30 am on Thurs. the 14th to get her here! My parents took Macee to their house so we didn't have to worry about her and that was really nice.
We got to the hospital and they did the usual and made me answer 50,000 questions (or maybe not that many) and tried to get my I.V. started but my veins weren't cooperating. After 5 tries the nurse supervisor finally got one in my right hand in a weird spot but they told me I would just have to deal with it there because they couldn't get it anywhere else. After a few hours the contractions were getting pretty intense and the nurse could tell I was in a lot of pain so she paged for the anesthesiologist to come and give me my happy medicine! He got there about 15 minutes later and I couldn't have been more happy to see a strange man!
The nurse checked me a little bit after I had my epidural and she just had a weird look on her face and she looked at me and said, "I feel a bum not a head!" I said so what does that mean a c-section and she said yup. So che called my Dr. and she came over and checked me and did an ultra-sound just to be sure and sure enough the little stinker was breech! She said that her and another Dr. would be back within an hour to do the c-section.
They got me all prepped and the happy medicine man came and numbed me some more and before we knew it we were in the operating room about to see our little girl. I was a little worried about Roger since he doesn't do so well with the blood and guts stuff but he sat by me and did fine. I have to say it's the weidest feeling in the world to be able to hear and feel whats going on but to not have any pain. The Dr's were awesome and were joking around with us and made it so we were very comfortable and at ease about the whole thing. I know that women have c-sections all the time but its different when it's you going through it! Anyway within 10 minutes she was born bum first and she was pooping on her way out! She weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. and was 18 1/2 inches long. I keep saying she's tiny and she is compared to Macee who was 9 lbs when she was born! She is a pretty good baby for the most part and only cries when you take her clothes off or when she's hungry, (which seems to be a lot!) She was born with craniosynostosis which is one reason why the Dr thinks she was breech, since her head is mis-shapen and she didn't want to come down the birth canal. She will be going to Primary Childrens on Tuesday to be seen by a plastic surgeon and a neuro surgeon and we will decide what to do about her skull. Other than that she is beautiful and healthy and we love her to pieces already! Macee had a little bit of a struggle the first couple of days but I think she likes her and will keep her! ;)

Here's a link if you would like to know a little bit about craniosynostosis.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow I Love Ya...

I had to put this on here so I don't forget it and we had such a good laugh over it I wanted to share!
Macee has an obsession with the movie Annie! We watch it at least once a day and she sings all the songs from it ALL day long! We were sitting in sacrament meeting yesterday and Roger had his head in his hands and was dozing off a little bit. Macee taps me on the leg and whispers, "Daddy Warbucks is sleeping!" I immediately burst out laughing while still trying to contain myself and get Roger's attention so that I could tell him what she said! I finally composed myself enough to tell him what she said and he laughed too, Macee just sat there with a smirk on her face like she knew exactly what she said and was proud of it!
We got home from church and I said, "Macee come and tell me what you want for lunch." She looked at me and said, "I'm not Macee I'm Annie!" She wouldn't answer to anything but Annie so I said to her, "Well if you're Annie and daddy is Daddy Warbucks then who am I?" She looked at me with that same little smirk and said "You're Miss Hannigan!" I knew it was coming and we all just burst out laughing! I told her that if I was Miss Hannigan than she better start saying "I Love you Miss Hannigan" so now she calls me Miss Hannigan and Roger Daddy Warbucks! I can't believe the little imagination that she has lately but I'm loving it and loving that she has her own little personality and sense of humor! She keeps us laughing all the time!

AnOtHeR GirL!

We found out yesterday that we're having another baby girl! We are so excited, she looks great and a little bit alienish but we couldn't be happier! (well Roger could be a little happier if it was a boy, but he is still very excited and has come to terms with the fact that we might not ever get a boy so he will have a girls basketball team instead of boys!) She definitely gave us a very clear shot and we are 100% that she is all girl! Macee is very excited to have a baby sister and I am excited to have another little girl to dress up with bows and cute clothes!

Busy...

Here's a sneak peek at my little cowgirl on her grandpas horse.

I have so many pictures that I just downloaded and I am so behind on blogging. We've been busy trying to get everything for our new house picked out and making sure its all getting done that I haven't been able to think about anything else! All I can say is I can't wait until papers are signed and we sleep there in our bed for the first time! I never realized how stressful building a house can be and I don't want to do it again for at least 10 years! We're supposed to be done by the end of August but I'm thinking we probably won't be able to move in until the first couple weeks in Sept. so I'm crossing my fingers that everything comes together quickly!

Macee is starting dance again tomorrow and can't wait! She loves every minute of it and is good at it so I hope she continues to love it! I am going to be doing a preschool with 6 other moms starting in Sept. and Macee is so excited to "Go to Preschool!" We had our meeting to plan everything today and she had to hurry and come home and get her backpack ready and all of her "supplies". She would go tomorrow and everday after that if she could! She loves to learn and I am excited to be able to do this with her. She is very excited about having a new baby in our family too! She talks about "the baby" all the time and loves when people ask her about it. She will be a great big sister and a really big helper to me!

Roger is still training for the St George Marathon in Oct. so we'll see how that goes! He's been busy with work and all of the new students coming back and hiring all of his new workers. I think he'll be glad when this week is over so he can get back to his job instead of doing job interviews all day.

I am just keeping busy with Macee and trying to make sure our house building is going smoothly (which it's not!) and trying not to get too stressed out about everything! Hopefully after we get settled and winter gets here I will be able to catch up on blogging but I wouldn't be so sure of myself because I'm a year behind so we'll see!

Tootles!

AlWaYs An AdVeNtUrE...

My friend Harmonie and I are always find ourselves laughing and shaking our heads and talking about how our lives with our kids are "Always an Adventure." She has 4 kids and I have Macee and our kids love (most of the time) to play together. They came over the other night and the kids were playing in the water that was running down the road. Pretty soon they were all in their underwear and loving every minute of it! Thanks for the fun times and lots of laughing H.

Oh and I almost forgot we had a streaker running around the neighborhood!

CuTe PicTurE...

Macee has been waiting to tell everyone her secret, so now here it is! We are so excited and have waited a long time for this little one! I am 14 weeks and due in January! Oh and Macee says there's a baby horsey in mommy's tummy, so let's all hope she just has a good imagination!

fUn ThiNgs

Macee and her little "girl friends" were playing the other day and they were being cute and really getting along so H. and I went and she took their pics. I think they turned out really cute!

This "wiggle car" was Macee's reward for being potty trained! She loves it and rides all over the place! She still has an accident every once in a while but for the most part she's a "BIG GIRL NOW" YAY!

Spring Dance Recital...

I wanted to get this posted but none of my pictures will upload so I will keep trying.

Macee had her Spring Dance Recital and she did so good! They did 3 little dances and they were so cute. She loves the rabbit dance they did with the ears and she goes around the house wanting me to sing "I'm a Little Teapot" so she can dance to that one. At the end of the last dance after the music stopped Macee threw her arms up in the air and said "TA-DA" as loud as she could! It was really funny and made everyone laugh and clap! At the very end they gave out special awards and Macee recieved an Outstanding Achievement Award and she was really proud of it. She loves going to dance and now that its over she bugs me all the time to go to dance, and since its over we do our own dancing around the house!

FriEndS...

I had to make a post about this so that Macee can remember who her friends are/were when she gets bigger. My good friend asked me to watch her kids a couple weeks ago while she went to a class and Macee is always asking me to play with "the kids" so I told her to bring them over. She loves to play but is still learning how to share HER toys. They actually got along really good that day and they were all playing in her room. It got really quiet and that can bever be a good thing so I went in to see what they were doing and {this} is what I found! They all thought they were SOOO funny and couldn't help but smile and giggle while I was trying to get a picture of them! Thanks for coming to play "S. GANG"!

Here's the "Sleeping Beauties"!

And I can't leave out my little friend "J"! He's so funny!
Believe in Happily Ever After and it will come true!
