Happy Birthday to Me...

So I am officially the big 26! It seems like a blah in-between birthday! I share my birthday with my grandpa and I told him this was a blah birthday and he said, "at least you're not 71, thats really blah!" I guess he has a good point! :) We didn't do anything special but it was nice just to take Macee to the park and let her play. We went out to dinner while we were up north with my family. It was a lot of fun. Roger told me he was going to cook me dinner so I requested ribs and twice baked potatoes! It was delicious. He is a good cook when he wants to be! I got a new camera for my gift and I love it! I am also going clothes shopping with my money that I got for our Cali trip! My parents came down and spent lunch with me and my dad made me some awesome shadow boxes! I had a great b-day! Thanks everyone!
My requested dinner! It was Delicious!!!

Roger fixed me dinner and lunch! (In my apron!)

My mommy made my favorite cake! Yum!

Macee helped me blow out the candles!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

SuRgErY...

Before:

After: She was still a little loopy!

I'm typing this from the surgical center where we are all PATIENTLY (or not) waiting to see if Macee can go home tonight or if they will make us stay. She did awesome and is back to herself already. The doctor said her tonsils and adenoids were really big and that her tubes were almost falling out so it was a good thing we did it all in one stop! We are all getting antsy and stir crazy and are ready to get home to grandma and grandpas. Thanks to everyone for thinking of us! She did great! Now lets hope she doesn't have to anything else done for a long time!

SpRiNg FeVeR!

If there are any of you still out there in blogger land that still look at my blog we are still here! It took me over a half hour just to upload these 3 pictures so thats why I never post! Our new computer is in the works so hopefully there will be a lot more posts to come! On to my post...

I think we are all starting to get Spring Fever! This is what Macee came out in this morning! She just wants to go outside and play so bad! She's been sick with a cold the last couple of days and hasn't been able to go out but hopefully she will be better by the weekend and we can go play!

I guess she decided that it is still winter and that she needed to get some warmer clothes on because this is what she came out in a little while later! Silly Kid!

On another note, we took Macee to the Ear Nose & Throat specialist on Monday because she has had nose problems and problems breathing at night and he told us she has a form of sleep apnea. She will be having surgery on March 18th to have her tonsils and adnoids out and a new set of tubes put in her ears since she will already be in surgery. Please keep her in your prayers. Its a little more risky for kids under 3 to have their tonsils out so they will be keeping her under 24 hour observation for the first day, after that we can take her home.

RaNdOm UpDaTeS!

Ok so first I must start off by saying that I have such good intentions of updating my blog a lot more often than I do but just like what happened five minutes ago when I started my two month backtracking of previous posts my computer decides that it needs to freeze and crash and kick me out of what I was doing so all of my work was lost! GRRRRR! Therefore there will probably not be any new posts with pictures until we get a new computer which will hopefully be soon and then there will be an overload of new posts, so many that it might take you days to catch up on our exciting lives, or if you care at all to read it there might be something fun finally!
Just a little update on us. Like I mentioned in my last post, Roger graduated with his Bachelors Degree in General Studies with a minor in Business and we couldn't be happier. He will get his diploma in May when all of the others graduate and I am going to have a big dinner party for him to celebrate since it was so crazy during the holidays. While I'm on Roger, he is still busy at the college trying to keep the Activity Center profitable so that he still has a job with all of the cuts that the state is making and that keeps him pretty busy. He is back after the Christmas break coaching again and getting ready for some pretty big games coming up in the next couple of weeks. He is hoping to take his team to State again and is working hard with the boys to accomplish that. He loves being back into coaching again and does such a good job teaching and being a role model for those boys.
On to me I guess, my life isn't very exciting, my days are spent watching Little Einsteins and Sesame Street with the munchkin and trying to keep up with her little whirlwind personality, she never holds still. My Great Grandma Verna passed away on Jan. 4th at the age of 95 and I'm happy that shes finally back with her husband after 25 years of being apart. We got to go see her right after Christmas before she passed. She was asleep the whole time but I'm glad that Macee got to see her one last time. She kept saying, "Mama night night ssshhhhh." It was so cute to see her innocence, and then again when we say her at the viewing after she passed she kept saying it again, "Mama night night ssshhhhh." When she would see people crying and sad and wiping their nose and eyes she would look at me and want a tissue and she would wipe her eyes and say, "Mommy sad." It was so cute and sincere that she was concerned that people were sad and crying.
Macee is still as busy and active as ever, like I said she never holds still and is always on the go, she loves to "cook" in her new kitchen that she got for Christmas and she loves to read books and draw and watch all of her "shows"! She loves to be the center of attention and is turning out to be a little ham! She is starting to talk a lot more and catches Roger and I off guard with some of the random things she says sometimes! I am going to start a little thing on my side bar so that I can remember some of the funny things that she says so I can tell her when she gets older! She will be 2 1/2 at the end of February and I can't believe how fast time has gone by! Shes supposed to be a tiny baby still but I love her and wouldn't trade her for the world!
We had a really good holiday season, we went to Park City with my moms side of the familyfor Thanksgiving and spent a couple days there up in a condo. It was a lot of fun and Macee loved being able to play with and be entertained by all of her older cousins. I loved it too because we had built in baby-sitters! Macee had her little dance recital in Dec. and looked so cute and did so good! She is going to be a good little dancer thats for sure. (I was doing a post about this when my computer died so it will be to come!) Christmas was busy, we had a little dinner party with my friends from high school and brought our hubbies this year and it was fun to see everyone and catch up again.
We decided to spend Christmas morning at our house this year since we've always traveled and it was fun but really hard for me since I have always spent it with my family, but Macee enjoyed waking up in her own bed and opening presents! She loved everything and didn't want to move on to the next gift because she was so excited about the one she had just opened! She got a lot of fun things including her play kitchen and a tent that we have set up that she takes her babies in and plays. We were all spoiled as usual and were very blessed. We spent New Years Eve at my parents and just relaxed and played games! We're pretty boring I guess!
If you're still reading this and I haven't bored you to death yet, I promise to try not to neglect my blog as long as my computer cooperates with me! I hope everyone is doing well and may the New Year bring you all much happiness! Love, Holly

CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS RoGeR!!!

I just wanted to let you all know that I am so proud of Roger. He is officially done with his Bachelors Degree and we BOTH couldn't be happier! This has been 10 years in the making and he is finally done! He graduated with his Associates Degree a while back and has been working on this degree for a while now and it's been a lot of hard work and sacrifice but he did it! He has been working 3 jobs and going to school and taking care of his ladies and he has done it all without complaining! Hopefully now he will be able to get a job that he wants or get paid more at the one he has since he has his degree. He plans on getting his Masters soon but needs a little break before starting into that adventure! We Love You and are so proud of what you have accomplished! CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS RoGeR!!!!!

ThOuGhTs...

I'm sitting here writing this procrastinating all of the other things I have to do because I can't stop thinking about the message that my visiting teachers shared with me today. It was one of my favorite talks at this past General Conference and I was so happy that they decided to share this particular message. Elder Joseph B Wirthlin gave the talk and it was so uplifting to me seeing him up there, not even being able to stand and give his talk and he still has the best attitude and wants us all to "Come What May, And Love It!" I think its going to be the new saying for vinyl lettering, but anyway... It just got me thinking about all the times that I get so mad over the little things and when I get after Macee for something she did or when I get after Roger for something he didn't do and how I need to just take what life throws at me and laugh about it and love it. He says in his talk, "If we approach adversities wisely, our hardest times can be times of greatest growth, which in turn can lead toward times of greatest happiness... The first thing we can do is learn to laugh." My adversities and trials are very minimum compared to most but I still need to take them in stride and learn what they are supposed to be teaching me and to "Come What May And Love It!" If you would like to read this talk and be uplifted like I was click HERE!
Believe in Happily Ever After and it will come true!
